Children are more than just little people—they have unique medical and emotional needs. A pediatric dentist is a dental professional who has undergone two to three years of specialized training to help them develop the skills and approaches that meet these needs. Our practice can help infants, children, preteens, and teens in guiding their dental growth and development, avoiding future problems, and creating a base for lifelong dental health.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry suggests that children see the dentist for the first time somewhere in the six months following the eruption of their first tooth. Most children will get their first tooth between six and eight months, making their first birthday a good time to schedule that initial appointment. However, keep in mind that if you miss this “deadline,” that doesn’t mean it is too late. Schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentistry specialists as soon as possible.
There is no greater priority that helping your child achieve excellent oral health through education, prevention, positive motivation, and tailored treatment.
